Dylan McHugh (Artist)
President
Dylan McHugh is a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist. He received a BFA in visual art at NSCAD University and is a founding member of the artist collective DRIL. McHugh has exhibited in Canada and internationally. Recent exhibitions include: Measure Of Light (Dynamo Arts Association), Thru The Trapdoor (On Main Gallery) and Western (Kamloops Art Gallery).

Glenn Lewis (Artist)
Treasurer
Born on Vancouver Island in 1935, Lewis lives and works in Vancouver. He graduated from the Vancouver School of Art (1954-58) and apprenticed with the potter, Bernard Leach in Cornwall (1961-63). He was instrumental in the formation and work of collective artists’ organizations: Intermedia (1967-75), and Western Front (1973-87) in Vancouver; and served on a number of arts organizations: the Board of Directors of: LIVE Vancouver Performance Art Festival (2007-present); Vancouver Art Gallery (1986-87); Vice President of the Association of National Non-Profit Artist Centres (ANNPAC) (1980-81); Director, Western Front Society, Vancouver (1974-87); Vancouver Art Gallery (1973-76); Intermedia Society, Vancouver (1970-72); taught ceramics, University of BC (1964-67, and 1971-74); taught ceramics, N.Y. State College of Ceramics, Alfred University (1970-71); worked as Head of Media Arts, Canada Council, Ottawa (1987-90).
Lewis has received several awards: ‘Emily’ award by Lt. Governor, Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design, Vancouver (2000); a B.C. Cultural Services Visual Arts grant in1993, five Canada Council grants from 1967 to1984, and the Governor General of Canada Award in Visual Arts, 2017.

Doug Jarvis (Artist/Curator)
Secretary
Doug Jarvis is an artist, curator, administrator, and educator living in Victoria, BC. He is a founding member of the avatar performance art group Second Front (http://www.secondfront.org/) and the Noxious Sector Art Collective (http://www.noxioussector.net/). He is also a member of Open Actions, a monthly action-based performance art group in Victoria. His individual and collective work explores absurdity, the paranormal, non-material entities and technology as human attributes. Projects have been presented at artist-run centres, galleries, museums and festivals across Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. He is the Canadian Coordinator for the Digital Art Weeks International Festival, based out of Zurich, Switzerland, and has coordinated projects in Xi’an, China, Victoria, BC, Singapore and Seoul, Korea. In 2010-11 he was the Artist-in-residence Fellow at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society, University of Victoria. Jarvis is an active member of the Victoria arts community and sits on a variety of municipal committees, non-profit, and artist-run centre boards. He holds an MFA in studio art from the University of Guelph, ON, and is a Guest Curator at Open Space Arts Society.

Adriana Lademan (Artist)
Adriana Lademan lives in Vancouver, BC. She is a visual artist focusing on video and performance. She has her Bachelors of Fine Arts from SFU School for the Contemporary Arts and is currently a student of Expressive Arts Therapy.

Masha Pilipenko (Curator, Historian)
Masha Pilipenko was born and raised in Moscow, Russia, where she completed a Specialist degree (an equivalent to Masters) in Literature and Linguistics at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2014, majoring in English, minoring in the 20th century experimental theatre. Upon its completion she relocated to Vancouver where she is currently studying Art History, and pursuing curatorial practice. She worked in Communications and Production with Manifesta 10, in 2014, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art which took place in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Ian Prentice(Artist)

Ian Prentice received a BFA from NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has returned to his roots in Vancouver. His practice traverses media such a drawing, digital media and sculpture. With his recent video project, Prentice is continuing his interest in exploring aspects of labour and leisure in the representation of landscapes, addressing concepts of absence, abundance, impermanence and the subject of wilderness. Prentice is currently active working with DRIL Collective.

Kara Hansen (Artist)

Kara Hansen is an artist, writer, and curator living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Group exhibitions include Spirit Gum, Nanaimo Art Gallery (2014); Reruns, Sunset Terrace, Vancouver (2016); and Arcade Days(2017), a forthcoming series of curated projects based in shopping malls. Selected solo exhibitions include Tracing a Circle Cranking a State with After Hours, Read Books, Vancouver (2016), and Hypnic Jerk at Spare Room, Vancouver (2015). Recently she published “Surface Research” (2016) with Young Adult, a literary journal promoting new writing by emerging artists
