LIVE2011 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER
LIVE OFF-SEASON presents the PROCESSION OF PERFOR- MANCE CIRCLES, a City of Vancouver Public Art Opportunity to present art by Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside galleries for the Artist/curator Glenn Lewis and the producers of LIVE join forces with local performers, community members, and dance and theatre groups for PROCESSION OF PERFORMING CIRCLES, a ceremo- nial parade through the city’s Downtown Eastside. For this event, LIVE joins forces with local performers, community members and dance and theatre groups to present a ceremonial procession of lights, dance, music and a bit of magic through the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood. The event includes works from choreographers Margaret Dragu, Coleen Latki and Karen Janieson with her Carnegie Centre troupe, as well as performances by Leaky Heaven Circus, Vancouver Carnival Band, Vancouver Morris Men and others.
Where:
Parade route starts at Pender St. and Carrall St., proceed- ing along Powell St. & Columbia St. to Pender St.
When: Mar 7, 2010, 7 - 9 pm
