Completely desecrating and disrespecting the flag, yet the flag was never displayed or waved, from the beginning it never raised above the ground, it was always forced into submission by the power of Preach R Sun\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<p>Even when he was silent, his backwards push through East Hastings screamed with power. Occasional interactions, some started with hostility as residents saw Sun\u2019s path as a break-in; yet with every single person he immediately raised his shroud, locked his eyes with theirs and never looked away; he immediately spoke from his raw, pained heart to theirs. <\/p>\n<p>He is in pain. He is angry. Sun believes we should all be connected, but since the system keeps us apart, he must drag his callused, bloody body slowly, painfully under our skin to show us what we are all missing. Breaking through the wall that capitalism and neoliberalism has tricked us into believing while we slept, Sun is the waking from that dream.
