{"id":561,"date":"2019-09-12T13:20:24","date_gmt":"2019-09-12T22:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/livebiennale.ca\/2019\/?p=561"},"modified":"2019-09-22T11:02:51","modified_gmt":"2019-09-22T20:02:51","slug":"do-not-disturb-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livebiennale.ca\/2019\/do-not-disturb-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Do Not Disturb Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Application Deadline is Sunday September 22, 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>DO NOT DISTURB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For LIVE! 2019 (September 28 \u2013 October 6), <a href=\"http:\/\/livebiennale.ca\/2019\/do-not-disturb\/\">Christine Bouvier and Rochdy Laribi,<\/a> from the acclaimed French performance art group RedPlexus Ornic\u2019art, and directors of the Marseille festival Pre\u0301avis de De\u0301sordre Urbain, are invited as artists-in-residence to conduct an intensive four-day performance mentorship, workshop and spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>DO NOT DISTURB offers a unique opportunity for emergent artists and students to participate in a new, novel and engaging non-hierarchical performance art master\u2013class focussed on physical training and research, voice presence, identity, emotion, and engagement; towards the realization of a new performance module. The opportunity spans 3 full days of workshop and preparation, and climaxes in a collective LIVE! event presented to the public in a group of hotel rooms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>\u201cIf \u2018Luck smiles on the daring\u2019 as the poet Virgil suggested, then why not emerge yourself to experience a unique immersive collective artistic experience. Dreaming of love in a hotel room, a place of fantasies, rapture, loneliness, rebirth, meditation, transit, hiding, haven, cocoon&#8230; Anonymous, it carries the memory of all those whoever slept there.\u201d RedPlexus<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Workshops will be conducted daily September 28-30 11:00AM \u2013 6:00PM, at BC\u3000Artscape Sun Wah. The collaborative grande\u2013finale spectacle is October 1, throughout Vancouver\u2019s landmark Patricia Hotel. Workshops are offered free to all attending. All participants are required to attend the entire DO NOT DISTURB experience.<\/p>\n<p>Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. If you are interested, send us your details to info@livebiennale.ca.
